Evolution unit Reflection
I learned a lot about evolution this unit. I learned that our ancient ancestors were fish and that were are a very small part in all of the evolution that has happened. I learned the most from our evolution posters because it showed the different steps we went through during our evolution.
Ecology unit REflection
I learned a lot during this ecology unit. I learned a lot about Miwok Park and how to make a terrarium. I learned how to keep a snail alive and have a functioning ecosystem around him. My favorite activity was the terrariums because we got to take care of an alive animal and observe them. My least favorite activity was the find a solution video because it was hard finding out things about our sight online. I will be more aware of how I affect my environment around me and be more careful with the wildlife surrounding me in the future.

biomarin reflection
Biomarin researches and creates drugs to help cure orphan diseases. They target orphan diseases. They currently have 5 drugs that are available on the market(all orphan drugs). Orphan drugs are pharmaceutical agents that has been developed specifically to treat a rare medical condition, the condition itself being referred to as anorphan disease. Biomarin was founded in 1997 by Christopher Starr Ph.D and Grant W Dennison Jr with a $1.5 million investment from Glyko Biomedical. It is the world leader in developing and commercializing innovative biopharmaceuticals for rare diseases. Of these diseases the patient population mostly consists of children. I really liked this field trip because it was very interactive with us and we got to see some of the machines in action. I really hope we get to do more of these field trips in the future.
