Gait-Height Project
Whole Class Data(My data is under Jack and Patrick): https://docs.google.com/a/students.nusd.org/spreadsheets/d/150b1-yV3A_sxjVM_x5nBJOxQmjUJ6iwnHH4JuQfsgto/edit?usp=sharing
The Gait data is what we collected from the accelerometer. It maps how we move on all the different axis(forward back, left right, and up down). We then use this data to map how we walk. We then used the data we took from the experiment to create a predictive model to guess someone's height based off how they walk. The model isn't perfect, but it can get it within half an inch or so.

Predictive Model
Reflection
The challenges that I encountered were the differences in each others data. Since we all did a different amount of steps and walked a different lengths, it is hard to compare our data. We also all didn't place the phones in the same spots on our bodies. In my team, we were able to distribute the work equally and both contribute to our final model. We worked well together and completed our model pretty quick. We mainly focused on our own data, but we did work a little with our partner group. They helped us figure out which data we needed to get. It was very important to make sure we had accurate data because otherwise we couldn't create a predictive model. the shortcomings were the tools we used and the amount of trials that we did. We need to use better equipment and have a set distance to walk. The challenges we faced while doing the experiment was using the accelerometer. It was hard to make sure the only data we were getting was from our walk and nothing else. I had some problem uploading the data to google sheets at first, but after we figured it out everything ran smoothly.
